About Me

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, I earned a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University in 2018 and a Master's degree with distinction in Computer Science at the University of Oxford in 2020. I currently live in New York City, where I work remotely as the lead Data Scientist at Zoomi, Inc. I'm especially interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence and how these approaches interact with other fields, scientific and otherwise. My previous research has focused on applications of ML/AI techniques to societal problems arising from algorithms most of us interact with online every day.

About the logo: In the upper left hand corner and on the tab, there's a symbol that looks a bit like a capital "A". This is from Linear A, an ancient language used by the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete almost 4000 years ago. This language has not yet been deciphered, despite success in a younger derivative language (Linear B). The study of ancient languages was a partial basis for early cryptography efforts in the UK which, through Bletchley Park, eventually led to modern computing. I'm optimistic that computing can return the favor by advancing our understanding of the ancient world by, for instance, shedding light on Linear A. I chose this particular symbol as it contains all three letters in my initials (A, T, H).
